AFL 2020: Tough As – Round 13 v Brisbane

An opportunity to stake a claim for a top-four berth presented itself when the Saints took on the second-place Lions at the Gabba in Round 13. The stakes were high with victory seeing them join the Lions on 36-premiership points while defeat would consign them to sixth place on the premiership ladder. In the end, despite looking the likely victor late in the match, the Saints would fall two points short of a valuable victory.

Monday’s Experts – Round 13

Given the tight contest it was no surprise there was countless selfless acts. Featured in this collection are contested marks from Jack Steele, Jarryn Geary, Jake Carlisle and Rowan Marshall. Strong contests, spoils, smothers and intercepts from Marshall, Nick Coffield, Geary, Dan Butler, Zak Jones, Dean Kent and Callum Wilkie. Then there were the tackles, we showcase efforts from Jack Sinclair, Jack Bytel, Josh Battle, Ben Long, Jake Carlisle, Paddy Ryder, Kent and Dougal Howard.

The efforts of Tim Membrey almost deserve their own video, so prominent was his work. Our showcase is rounded out with a selection of some of his best defensive efforts.
