The votes are in and Caitlin Greiser is the Animal Enclosure All Star for Round Three. The 20-year-old’s dominant performance up forward also saw her receive a Rising Star Nomination and selection in the AFLW Team of the Week for Round Three.
The forward’s eye-catching performance was highlighted by her match-winning goal in the final quarter. Her long-range effort in the final quarter long to live in Saints fans memories but it was far from her only impact on the contest.
Bookending her match-winning effort, the G-Train kicked the opening goal of the match after teaming up with Kate McCarthy. She also set up Darcy Gutteridge for her first goal for the club. After beating a number of Demons in the air she deftly passed the ball to Getteridge’s advantage to help the Saints take a narrow half-time lead.
