The votes are in and Rosie Dillon is the Animal Enclosure All Star for Round Four. Not content with a team high 18 possessions, the former Hawk VFLW star also laid seven tackles against the Dockers. The 23-year-old’s determined effort a major reason the Saints went perilously close to a second upset victory in as many weeks.
It was her performances for the Hawks in the 2019 VFLW season that saw Dillon gleefully snapped up by the Saints with pick 24 in the 2019 AFLW Draft. Playing all 14 games, she was named best on field a remarkable 11 times on her way to Hawthorn’s Best & Fairest and a place in the VFLW Team of the Year.
It was her ability to work inside to win the hard ball and break open packs that had her in such high demand on Draft day and has in turn made her such an important member of the Saints line up in the inaugural AFLW campaign.
